The stitch patterns used in this design, combine together beautifully to an heirloom quality product, especially when worked in a yarn that produces good stitch definition.

The original LITTLE ACORNS BLANKET was my 1st blanket design, published in 2016. In more recent years it inspired a Mighty Oak Collection of designs based on the stitches used in this pattern. In addition, in 2023 a NEW version was added to this pattern to give you TWO OPTIONS for knitting.

• VERSION 1 - Intended as a (smaller) car seat/stroller blanket when knit to the pattern instructions, has a different, simpler layout which is easily enlarged to any size (guidance included).

• VERSION 2 - The original, was updated to include guidance on widening the design. Because of the symmetrical layout of this version, length stays the same.

SKILL LEVEL
You need to be able to knit & purl, work eyelet stitches, as well as be familiar with the concept of temporary stitch increases worked into the blanket on 1 row & worked as such for a few rows, before being decreased back to the original stitch count.(Full details given in the pattern)
