Little Man Work Hat
By Casey Pilley, Yarntivity
This adorable little hat is the last in the “Little Man” series by Yarntivity. Your set would not be complete without topping it off with this precious gem! Having a ribbed brim just like the trim on the Little Man Work Jacket ties everything all together. This hat maintains the same stitch as the jacket to ensure everything flows together perfectly. Whether it is worn on its own or with the set, there are sure to be some smiles  I can imagine a little pom pom up top or even a flower on the side for the little gals  Now let’s get started with our very own Yarntivity :)

STITCHES / ABBREVIATIONS USED:
Ch – Chain-yo, pull thru loop
Sl st – Slip Stitch-insert hook into next stitch, yo pull thru all loops on hook
Sc – Single Crochet-insert hook into next stitch, yo pull thru 2 loops, yo pull thru 2 loops
Hdc – Half Double Crochet-Yo, insert hook into next st, yo, pull thru 2 loops, yo, pull thru remaining 3 loops on hook
Dc - Double Crochet - Yo, insert hook into next stitch, yo, pull thru 2 loops, yo, pull thru 2 loops, yo, pull thru 2 loops
FpDc – Front Post Double Crochet-Yo, insert hook between the posts of your sts instead of the top 2 loops from the front of your piece (the side facing you) going around that post and coming back towards you, like making a U-turn around the post , Yo, pull thru 2 loops, yo, pull thru remaining loops
FpDc – Back Post Double Crochet-Yo, insert hook between the posts of your sts instead of the top 2 loops from the BACK of your piece (the side facing away from you) going around that post and going back away you, like making a U-turn around the post , Yo, pull thru 2 loops, yo, pull thru remaining loops
Yo – Yarn Over
FO – Fasten off/Cut yarn
-This pattern is pretty straight forward  The wackiest part really are the increases at first but all it is is doing a sc & dc in the same st to maintain the look of the st  I think for this one I kept it pretty mellow and didn’t go too nuts on designing  I was going for a newsboy type look with enough ball cap mixed in to make it unique 
