These socks are a fun, addictive knit and will look fabulous in any of your 3 favourite contrasting colours. Inspired by old decorative floral patterns found on vintage wallpaper, I wanted to create these delicate looking colourwork socks to celebrate the arrival of Spring. The repetitive and easy to memorize pattern is reminiscent of the little flower posies that children collect in early Spring from blossoms they have found in gardens or in fields. Knit with 3 colours, there are two versions - a longer sock version with lighter colours and a dark shortie version for you to enjoy. This pattern is suitable for using up some of your sock yarn scraps too.

These socks are knit from the top down, starting with a ribbed cuff and followed by an uncomplicated colourwork pattern. The pattern continues throughout the leg and foot. The heel is constructed as a short row (boomerang) heel and the toe is completed with kitchener stitch.
