This romper is a quick and easy project to knit. It is designed to be used as a photo prop for these beautiful newborn photography session.

SIZE
It is made to fit only a newborn baby from birth to 2 weeks old, 6 to 9 pounds.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
12.75 inches in circumference and 10 inches from top to bottom, not including straps.

CONSTRUCTION
The romper is worked top down in round in stockinette stitch. The opening for the legs is worked flat, front and back separately. There are 2 options for the crotch finishing and 2 options for the shoulder straps.

YARN
Drops, Nepal, 35% wool, 65% alpaca, 75m/82yd per 50gr, only 1 ball required or similar heavy worsted weight yarn (aran).

I strongly recommend to use wool yarn as it stretches. Avoid using cotton yarn. It will not stretch and might not fit.

MATERIALS
Circular needles 16” size US 9 /5.5 mm or size needed to obtain gauge. (Optional four double pointed needles 5.5 mm or size needed to obtain gauge)
If you find it too tight at the beginning to work in round with the circular needles you can start with the double pointed needles and change later for the circular when the body is looser.

Optional crochet hook size G(4mm)
