Reading and story telling is such an important part of a young child’s life. Encourage creativity and imagination in your child, with puppets during story time!

The Lizard Hand Puppet is a great stand-alone puppet in your animal collection, but is also is based on the children’s book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll. Bill, the Lizard, is not a prominent role in the famous film, but in the classic literature, he adds a bit of comic relief!

This pattern is made in one size, fitting children through adults, so that parents can play too! However, it can easily be adjusted by tightening your gauge or going down a hook size, if you’d like one to fit small children better. Also, it should be noted that this particular hand puppet is made in a different style than most of my front-facing hand puppets. This adds an element of creative play for children wanting to immitate the walking of a lizard!

Made in mostly single crochet, basic crochet knowledge is all that’s needed! Being familiar with croching in rnds is helpful, and some knowledge of hand sewing pieces together.
