The Lola Blouse is a feminine, delicate knit with a soft, cloud-like feel. The lace-weight yarns give it a light, airy texture that feels gentle on the skin. It’s a piece you can wear for a special occasion or use to lift a simple outfit with something a little romantic.

The Lola Blouse is worked top-down with a circular yoke construction. You begin by casting on stitches for the yoke and knitting the lace Chart. After the Chart, you divide for body and sleeves. Both the body and the sleeves are worked in the round.

After the yoke, the pattern continues in brioche stitch combined with a five-stitch lace motif. The hem of the body is finished with an I-cord bind-off, and the sleeves are completed in the same way.

To finish, stitches are picked up for the collar, which is worked in 1x1 half twisted rib. Short Rows are incorporated to the collar to improve the fit.

The blouse is designed with approximately 7–16 cm (3–5½ in) of positive ease and is knit using three strands of lace weight alpaca held together for a soft, airy texture.

Gauge: 17 sts and 29 rows in lace pattern worked in the round after blocking on 3.5 mm / US 4 needles.

Yarn: pink sample is knit with 3 strands of Bizet from DML Studio, the green sample is knit with 3 strands of Audrey from Italia Hobby. Both yarns are very thin. If you want to use a thicker lace weight yarn 2 strands are enough to get gauge.

Yarn requirements (including approx. 10% buffer): 171, 187, (215, 242, 264) grams / 847, 935, (1067, 1166, 1298) meters / 927, 1023, (1168, 1276, 1419) yards
