This very easy, long, stocking cap is suitable for very busy variegated, hand dyed, or self-striping yarns in worsted to aran weight. The color striping or pooling will change after each decrease row. The hat will also look GREAT as a totally use-up-those-scraps monster. Have fun!

Be aware that the adult size of this hat is LONG and takes just over 200gr of worsted-aran yarn. For all sizes, the first ⅓ of the hat will take about half the yarn, and the amount of yarn used per section diminishes as the hat gets longer but rounds get shorter.

You will need to be familiar with: Casting on (you may use whatever cast-on you see fit), Knit and Purl stitches, increases (I used Knit into the Front and Back of a stitch KFB), and decreases (I used Knit 2 together k2tog.

You will find it convenient to have one stitch marker for beginning of round, and possibly a row counter.
