Loops blanket is a blanket with a very simple pattern using garter stitch as well as a simple stitch pattern of yarn overs and knitting 3 stitches together. The pattern looks advanced but is actually very easy to knit. The pattern includes both a charted and a written pattern. The blanket can be knit using 6 colors, the baby blanket or using 9 colors.

Before starting the blanket, it is important you knit a gauge swatch! This is because the pattern pulls itself together during the knitting, and the blanket widens quite a bit after washing. Thus it can be difficult to measure the gauge correctly without the swatch.

Finished measurements after wash and blocking:

Baby blanket: approx. 70 x 96 cm.

Junior blanket: approx. 90 x 128 cm.

Yarn: Yaku from CaMaRose.dk, 100% superwash merinowool.

Needles: Circular needle size 3 mm and 4 mm (100 cm).

Gauge: approx. 26 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm on size 3 mm. The pattern repeat from the chart is approx. 3 cm high and 4,5 cm wide.

Baby blanket: 6 skeins total. 1 skein of the following colours: Col. 1: Råhvid (1000), col. 2: Koral (1112), col. 3: Sennepsgul (1990), col. 4: Himmelblå (1221), col. 5: Græsgrøn (1181) and col. 6: Lysgrå (1041). Yarn for gauge swatch is included in this yarn requirement.

Junior blanket: 9 skeins total: 1 skein of the following colours: Col 1: Natur (1003), col. 2: Rosa (1800), col. 3: Støvet rosa: (1020), col. 4: Mauve (1872), col. 5: Lysgrå (1041), col. 6: Mellemgrå (1060), col. 7: Havgrøn (1655), col. 8: Turkis grøn (1584) and col. 9: Sennepsgul (1990). Yarn for gauge swatch is included in this yarn requirement.
