We adore stranded color-work hats, and decided it would be fun to add another layer of interest to this simple pattern by using loopy boucle yarn for our contrast colors. Isn’t it sweet how the little loopy diamonds puff out of the smooth background?

Malabrigo Rios (100% superwash merino; 210 yds/100 gm): 1 skein Cosmos 706. Isager Boucle (100% alpaca; 190 yds/ 50 gm): 1 ball each Cream, Peach, Orange.
