This is a doll sweater/jumper, suitable either as a “pullover” or a cardigan. It will fit Gotz Happy Kidz or Classic Kidz when worked as written.
This is designed to be a first steeking project. It calls for 10 colors: 18g of one color, 9g of another color and scraps of 8 other colors, although it could be worked all in two colors, a light and a dark. It takes 60” of yarn for one round of body stitches. 5 buttons, size 7/18” or 8mm beads are required.
DPNs, two 24” circular needles or one long circular needle for Magic Loop are suitable, although it could be worked flat without steeks.
An alternative to using many lighter colors is to use a multicolored yarn for the lighter colors, avoiding all the color changes. There is less control over where the colors end up, but it’s a quicker process.
This pattern differs from my other steeking-project patterns in that the neck opening is not steeked, but shaped at the shoulders and worked flat.

There is a tutorial on Ravelry here, or outside of Ravelry here. (This tutorial includes the neck opening steek.)
