Crochet tutorial how to make no-sew amigurumi Dinosaur - Loch Ness monster, or simply - Nessie

Skill level - Intermediate/Advanced
This pattern is made as one piece (although not with one continuous thread), minimal sewing needed.
Measurements and materials used:
About 10 inches (26cm) tall in the pictured position, from the ground to the top of the head, and about 22 inches (56cm) long from the head to the end of the tail if stretched in a line – if made from Worsted Weight/Category 4 yarn
- 4.25mm (G/6) Crochet hook
- 250 yards of Medium (Worsted Weight/Category 4/Aran/10-ply) yarn of main colour
- 10-15 yards contrasting colour yarn for head spikes and tail spikes
- Polyfil (polyester / fiberfill) stuffing
- 2 x 6 mm (or larger) safety eyes
This pattern is made in amigurumi crochet technique, using mostly single crochet stitches, working in spiral, without connecting stitches between rounds; no sewing (except for the head spikes and tail spikes).
