A Stegosaurus made using this pattern with a 3.75mm (F) hook and Medium yarn (Category 4) measures approximately 20 inches (51cm) long

Available in English language only, with American/US crochet terms
Difficulty level -- intermediate/advanced

This Realistic Stegosaurus requires hardly any sewing! Legs/body/head all made as one piece, only bony plates on the back need sewing!

Gauge is not important, but I do recommend working with Medium (Aran, Category 4) yarn: using yarn of different weight may distort the shape of the final product!

Hooks and yarn you will need:

• 3.75mm/ F-5 (or 4mm /G-6) Crochet hook
• 250 yards of Main Colour yarn (Medium/Category4/ Worsted Weight/Aran yarn
• 10 yards of White (Ivory, Beige) yarn (Medium / Category 4) for the tail spikes
• 70 yards of yarn (Medium / Category 4) for the bony plates along the back
• Small piece of stiff cardboard and scissors
