This is the “Lynne Marie Cabled Cowl” crochet pattern for a cozy, warm and elegant infinity scarf.

I designed this pattern to create a scarf for my mom. Our family is Irish and Swedish on my mom’s side, and both cultures have long histories with intricate cables on warm woolen garments. My mom loved the scarf, and I think you will too!

This scarf features three cables - one large cable in the center with two smaller cables flanking it. It is crocheted flat, then stitched together to form a circle. It is long enough to wrap 2 times as a cozy infinity scarf or can be worn as a long cowl.

Difficulty Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate

Note You do NOT need to be familiar with cabling. There are 46 photos to walk you through the special stitches and the construction of the scarf. I’ve got you covered!

Time to Complete: 5 - 15 hours, depending on your experience level

Stitches Used: Chain, Slip Stitch, Single Crochet, Double Crochet

Special Stitches (instructions and photo tutorial included): Front Post Double Crochet, Back Post Double Crochet, Front Post Triple Crochet

Size: Finished size is about 55” in circumference and 6.5” wide (unblocked/unstretched). Blocking is not necessary, but washing and blocking may help the drape of your scarf depending on the yarn you use.

Instructions are included in case you want to upsize or downsize the scarf.
