This is a pattern for a traditional shetland lace shawl.

The techniques you will need:

  • provisional cast on
  • yarn over for increasing
  • decreasing (knit 2 together, slip-knit-pull, slip-k2tog-pull)
  • garter stitch
  • seam/sew together
  • blocking/steaming

Knitting from inside out, joining as you knit. Grafting only a few stitches of the edging, and only two ends to wave in.

Huge thanks to fiberwitch121 thesphynx and vdv10 for the testing. (highly recommended!)

I hope you will enjoy it as I did. The knitting as well as the wearing.

Please throw a feed-back, if the pattern is anywhere unclear. Feel free to contact me, if you had any question.
