This is a great pattern for a parasol. Though if you want to use it for a doily, it is suitable for that too :)

The pattern is rather schematic, of course I tried to write all necessary information, and I think, it is clear enough for those, who like filet crocheting. If you are insecure in filet crochet, there are many tutorials on the internet, and in written. I too learnt it so :)

For the frames you can dismantle an ordinary umbrella, that you can buy everywhere.
