UPDATED PATTERN 11/10/22: I designed this gender-neutral hat for my wife, Adrienne. She loves to knit quick and easy things - and loves to have a cozy hat to wear. When I originally designed this hat, we had also made an extra thick yarn for her named Ridge. This small batch yarn is now sold out, though who knows maybe in the future we will be able to mill it again, so have kept the yarn listed on this pattern.

The good news is we made a new chunky yarn for Adrienne named Bun! It is the first yarn we are releasing under our new brand, Bread and Butter. Milled in the US, and made of soft US Merino wool, this combination of yarn and pattern is sure to delight you and your loved ones.

I have updated this pattern to include Bun, shown here in a warm, red-orange colorway named Lantana. This version is longer and therefore has a nice thick brim making an extra cozy hat. I also updated the shaping on the crown for a better fit.
