Mae Socks are worked in the round from the toe up. The gusset is created by using German short rows, although the knitter can opt to use another short row technique if desired.

The socks are intended to be worn with about 1.5 in / 4 cm negative ease. The circumference of the model’s foot shown above is 8.25 in / 21 cm wearing size S/M.

The yarn used in these samples was Baah Yarn “La Jolla”. I suggest that you over budget on the amount of yardage necessary to complete the project, as each knitter knits differently and there may be a discrepancy in the actual amount of yarn used.
