Mailen T-shirt Knitting Pattern by CeciLo - Cecilia Losada

Mailen is a name of Mapuche origin meaning princess, but here the word moves away from the delicate and passive image traditionally associated with a princess: it speaks of a powerful, noble and intelligent woman. The Mailen T-shirt was created as a tribute to the Mapuche people, their connection with the Earth, and a culture that understands that we are not its owners, but part of it and its guardians.

Construction
The Mailen T-shirt is worked top-down, beginning at the neckline and working a raglan-style yoke before separating the body and sleeves. The body and sleeves are then completed separately, making it easy to adjust the length to your preference.

Mailen T-shirt Patrón Punto por CeciLo - Cecilia Losada

Mailen es un nombre de origen Mapuche que significa princesa, pero aquí la palabra se aleja de la imagen delicada y pasiva que tradicionalmente asociamos a una princesa: habla de una mujer poderosa, noble e inteligente. La Mailen T-shirt nace como un homenaje al pueblo Mapuche, a su vínculo con la Tierra y a una cultura que entiende que no somos dueños de ella, sino parte de ella y sus guardianes.

Construcción
La Mailen T-shirt se teje Top-Down, comenzando por el cuello y trabajando un canesú estilo raglán antes de separar cuerpo y mangas. El cuerpo y las mangas se completan por separado, permitiendo adaptar fácilmente el largo a tu gusto.
