Knit from the top down, the Majestic Tie Cardigan can be tried on and customized as you go. It begins at the center of the back collar with a provisional cast-on (or your favorite cast-on method; see page 24 for information on how to use a different cast-on method). The back collar is knit, then stitches are picked up for the body and sleeves. They are worked together from the top down, while working set-in sleeve shaping. The body has some elegant waist shaping, and there are two options for the sleeves—long or short! Also, be sure to check out page 80 and consider putting a pocket onto each front.
