Making Waves sweater / Öldurót peysa
The Making Waves Sweater is a top down sweater with a boxy, relaxed fit and slightly poofy sleeves. It is knitted in the round on 4 mm needles. This sweater is knitted with two colours alternating but is also perfect for leftover yarn in multiple colours.
Gauge: 19 sts x 25 rnds for 10 x 10 cm, both in colourwork and stockinette. Suggested needle size is 4 mm, and 3 mm for ribbing.
Sizes: A B, C, D E, F, G H, I, J
Chest circumference of sweater: 81 96, 103, 118 125, 133, 140 147, 162, 177 cm, recommended ease is 7-12 cm.
Upper sleeve circumference: 29 37, 37, 37 44, 44, 44 52, 52, 59 cm
Sleeve length from underarm: 49 50, 50, 51 51, 52, 52 54, 54, 54 cm
Length of body from underarm: 40 42, 44, 47 49, 51, 53 56, 57, 57 cm
Yoke length: 21.5 21.5, 22.5, 22.5 22.5, 25, 25
25, 25, 25 cm
Yarn: Dk or sport weight yarn 50g approx 100 m, or fingering held double.
Yarn amount estimate is
C1 5 5, 6, 6 7, 7, 8 9, 9, 10 skeins (50g = 100m)
C2 5 5, 6, 6 7, 7, 8 9, 9, 10 skeins (50g = 100m)
Note that if you decide to make the body longer or shorter than the given length your yarn needs will change.
