Valagjá is an Icelandic wool sweater knitted top-down with a back rise to raise the neckline in the back. It has an oversized and unisex fit and is perfect for outdoor activities.

Sizes: A B, C, D E, F, G H, I, J with corresponding chest circumference of sweater of 86 94, 103, 111 123, 131, 143 151, 160, 171 cm. I recommend a 15-20 cm ease.
Body length from underarm: 38 40, 42, 44 46, 48, 50 51, 52, 52 cm
Sleeve length from underarm: 43 44, 44, 45 47, 48, 49 49, 50, 50 cm
Upper arm circumference: 43 45, 45, 48 51, 54, 56 60, 63, 66 cm
Neck circumference: 44 45, 47.5, 49 50, 52.5, 56 60, 64, 66 cm
Front yoke length: 22 22.5, 23, 23 23.5, 24, 24.5 25, 25.5, 26 cm
Gauge: 14 sts x 20 rows for 10 x 10 cm, both in color pattern and solid color. Suggested needle size is 6 mm. 16 sts x 20 rows for ribbing. Note that you may need to switch needle sizes between ribbing, color pattern, and solid color knitting to maintain proper gauge.
Yarn: Plötulopi held double (Icelandic unspun wool) or any yarn of similar weight that fits the gauge. Please note if you hold a thread single you will need approx. half the yardage noted.
