Mama Jo’s Bear Pattern is a step-by-step written pattern, with picture tutorials included, on how to make your very own bear. You can accessorize your bear in any way your creative mind allows…add appliques to the bear’s belly, add a flower or hat to head, add a sweater for the bear to wear. Ideas are limitless! This pattern is for the bear only.

Gauge: Not necessary for this pattern.

Stitches used: Single Crochet and Invisible Decrease (tutorial link included)

Items needed to complete your very own bear:

Hook: one size smaller than recommended for the type of yarn you choose to use. (see yarn package’s recommendation)

Yarn: one skein of color of your choice. If you choose to use multiple yarn colors on your bear, I have included the link to my “No Needle Needed” tutorial for hiding yarn tails.

Child safety eyes: two (2) 10mm or 12mm

Fiberfill stuffing
Darning needle
Scissors
Stitch Marker (contrasting color of yarn 2-3” long)
2 large headed pins

I hope you enjoy making your bear as much as I have enjoyed seeing this bear come to life!
