The second in a series of shoulder hugging crescent shaped shawls, the Mapes pattern is a set of simple to knit, comforting wraps. Included in this pattern are the instructions for a simple stockinette/garter version, the sample shown in the photographs, and variations for self design.

They can be made in any yarn to your desired size. Both variegated and handspun yarns work particularly well for these designs because their simplicity does not compete with the beauty of the yarn. Because they are knit until you are done patterns, they are wonderful for using up skeins with unusual or outsized put-ups.

Listed yarn/needle information is for the pictured shawl, but the pattern can use any yarn/needle combination you wish. (Additional yarns suggested that I think would work great!)

Instructions are written only, no charts necessary. Pattern includes a link to the Twisted German Cast-on, so check that out if you are going to travel with the project. Link Here
