These quick maple leaf coasters work up in under 10 minutes - gauge is not important and you can use any yarn weight! The pattern includes US and UK crochet versions.

The sample in the pics is done with worsted and 5mm hook, but in the pattern you will find hook recommendation for other yarn weights (fine, DK, chunky, superchunky). The only difference is that the overall size will be slightly smaller if you use, say, DK, and slightly bigger if you go for chunky.

Once you make one or two, you will start doing them faster, so you can make a whole set of 6 in under an hour.

As they use up less than 10g of yarn per coaster, they are also perfect stash busters and would make a really lovely, thoughtful handmade gift.

This maple leaf can also be used as part of a Fall garland, as gift toppers, appliqués (on hats, scarves, blankets, cushions), brooches, wall hangings.

So, all in all, a fun stash-busting autumn project!
