Marcella Tea Cozy
Pattern debut at Kathy’s Kreations during the Steel Valley Yarn Crawl 2026! Purchase through Kathy’s Kreations, in Ligonier, PA to support my favorite LYS!
This small stockinette stitch project is ideal for summer travel and visits. Worked flat from the bottom up, with openings for the spout and handle, the knitting is then joined into the round to create the top. You will want to set aside time to do the two-color double braid cast on when you can concentrate, but it is worth the effort! Once you get home from your trip or your guests leave, you can focus on adding the duplicate stitch motifs.
You will have plenty of leftover yarn if you buy a full skein of each color suggested. If you prefer, you can purchase just one skein to use as Color A, then use leftover worsted weight yarn from your stash as Color B.
When choosing a size, use the circumference of your teapot as the guide. The height is easily adjusted while you work.
