Mardi Gra Dog Sweater
If you have a teacup dog or a puppy 2lbs-3lbs and have found that every sweater pattern seems to be too bulky between the front legs to the point your pup cannot walk. This pattern addresses this issue, is easy to put on and take off and easy for even beginner crocheters to make.
This has a pattern for male (neon blue) and female dogs (neon pink)
Although there is a gauge for this pattern, most times it will be ok as long as the dog is 3lbs or under.
• Hook size: H - 5.00mm
• Girl - I love this yarn- Medium 4 acrylic, 1 skein each (Hobby Lobby)
o Color 1 (C1) - #957/Dark Neon’s - 5oz/142g
o Color 2 (C2) - #950/Pink Neon - 5oz/142
• Boy I love this yarn- Medium 4 acrylic for C1
o Color 1 (C1) - #957/Dark Neon’s - 5oz/142g
o Color 2 (C2) - Caron Simply Soft – Blue Mint 6oz, 170.1g (Joann Fabrics)
• For Bone - I love this yarn, #952, Orange Neon, worsted weight medium 4
• ¾ inch button for belt
• Embroidery/Tapestry needle
You will have a lot of yarn left over for 1 sweater if you buy new skeins of yarn. If you want to use a different Color scheme than this pattern calls for and you have scraps of yarn in worsted weight medium 4, this is a great way to use it up.
