A little over a year ago, I was busy crocheting hats for charity when I created this pattern. I ended up keeping the original hat- I liked it so much I couldn’t bear to give it away. I’ve finally taken the time to write up this pattern, and in keeping with the fact that it was originally a charity hat- $1.00 from every pattern sold this year (June 2011-June 2012) will be given to Red Cross efforts in the USA

My mom was the one who first taught me how to crochet. She is the beautiful model in the first three pictures, and I have also named the hat after her.

This listing is for the hat pattern in electronic PDF form which will be emailed to the buyer.

It is sized for a woman’s medium. It uses about half of a 100g skein of worsted weight yarn. (The sample was knit out of my hand dyed Andrea yarn in the colorway “Crystal Palace”.) It is a very quick crochet- I can easily complete a hat in a few hours.

You will need:

About half a skein 100g worsted weight yarn
Crochet hook with size range J-H
