Need a clue as to what to do with those leftover sock yarn or fingering weight scraps or advent mini skeins? Good news! The mystery has been solved: MARLED SOCKS, you’ll knit.

Marling is simply knitting with two strands of yarn held together to create a yarn that is thicker and different in color than either of the original yarns held singly. The colors of marled yarn appear and disappear randomly depending how the yarn sits when it is knitted and can create a subtle or striking effect depending on the degree of contrast between the two yarns.

This pattern is a play on my DK weight Easy Like Sunday Morning Socks and includes comprehensive directions for choosing yarns, changing yarns, and yardage requirements.
