The Marlon Shawl is a 2-in-1 shawl pattern that includes instructions to create 2 different triangular shawl shapes (asymmetrical and symmetrical) in 2 sizes (small and large).

This design is inspired by my love of color play, marling, and bold stripes. At the same time, I wanted to create a pattern that was beginner-friendly and quickly gratifying to knit. With an easy-to-memorize increase sequence and soothing marled and striped sections, this pattern will jump off your needles!

Approximate Yarn Requirements by Size

Yarn required: Fingering weight yarn in two colors, Color A and Color B

Small Size: 450 yards of Color A, 450 yards of Color B

Large Size: 850 yards of Color A, 850 yards of Color B

Note: These yarn approximations include a small amount of overage to ensure that knitters with a looser gauge do not run out of yarn. For the small samples, I used roughly 1 skein of each color (~430 yds each) with very little yarn left over (~3 yards), and for the large sample, I used 2 skeins of each color (~800 yds each), with very little yarn left over (less than 5 yds).
