MARRAKECH

A beanie hat, inspired by middle eastern colors and design. It reminds me of Moroccan tiles or a colorful market.

This was designed for a dear friend who is a fierce red head, she will do this hat proud.

A play with cables in this design. I tried to be slightly counterintuitive with the twisting of the cables, resulting in this spectacular 3 dimensional and very architectural design. Hope you like it as much as I had fun designing.

Materials used: Size 7 US needles, 4.5 mm, and DPNS of the same size, cable needle and a darning needle to finish, stitch marker.

Gauge 20 st/28 rows in 10 cm, 4 in stockinet blocked sample swatch. This yarn does grow a bit when blocked. Do not panic when knitting, the cables and stitches do relax in the wash.

Yarn: Malabrigo Rios in color Bobby Blue 1 skein, (there will be a quarter left)

Cables are charted and written out for ease of knitting.

Size S, M and L respectively, the smallest size outside parenthesis.
Head circumference 18(20,22) inches, Height 8in
