Marum knitted bomber is a slightly cropped cardigan inspired by the classic bomber jacket, with a rounded collar and slightly puffy sleeves finished with a tight cuff. The body is knitted top down and worked back and forth in broken rib stitch with raglan increases and a shaped neckline. The button band is picked up from the body and attached with mattress stitch and the rounded shape of the collar is constructed with German short rows. The sleeve and body elastic is intendedly knitted on a smaller needle than usual and stretched during blocking to achieve the final result seen in the pictures.

SIZING
Marum knitted bomber comes in 11 sizes, 88 (95, 104, 110) (119, 130, 137) (148, 157, 166) 175, and is designed to be worn with 5 - 25 cm of ease. Pick a size based on your bust measurements plus the desired ease depending on your preferred style. The purple Marum in the pictures is worn with 10 cm of ease. More ease will give more of a classic bomber jacket look.

The length of the body and the sleeves are easily adjustable since Marum Knitted Bomber is knitted top down, but please keep in mind that it changes the yardage requirements!

This cardigan is knitted with Magasin Duett Donegal Tweed (190 m/50 g) and Gepard Garn Kid Seta (210 m/25 g).

NEEDLES
Main needle: 5 mm circular needle.
Smaller needle for button band, collar and elastic: 2.5 mm circular needle for magic loop or double point needles.

GAUGE
In stockinette: 18 stitches & 29 rows is 1010 cm or 44 inches on 5 mm needles after blocking. Make sure to check your gauge before starting to knit and adjust needle size if necessary!

OTHER NOTIONS
Removable stitch markers, scrap yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle to weave in ends and attach button band and collar, 6 buttons for size 88-130 and 7 buttons for size 137-175, size 15mm. Optional: sewing needle and thread in matching color to join buttonholes.
