I designed Massasoit, the Wampanoag Sachem ( Leader) that provided supplies to the Pilgrims during their first Winter…which lead to the first Thanksgiving. I used several old photos from historical lithographs and prints to design his outfit. He compliments Polly and Rupert,…the Pilgrim dolls.

I used worsted weight for all of his clothing except the robe….you’ll need a sport weight or DK weight yarn for this piece. Additional supplies needed are a tapestry needle, small twig, small amount of fiber-fil and a cool glue gun.

The pattern is beginner friendly too! So, have fun making him!
