Yes, this is knit on 3.5mm (US4) instead of a smaller size that you would usually use for fingering/sock weight yarn but that’s because I like knitting on 3.5mm! If you want to use 3.25mm (US 3) instead then I’m sure it won’t make any difference so long as you’re getting gauge (29 st and 35 rows over 10cm).

You can use any fingering or sock weight yarn and is great for using up part skeins you have.
