I love a good 1 skien project! This Cowl is full of fun texture and knits up fast. It can be made as long as you’d like making it the prefect project for one coveted skein (or almost full skien left overs).

I’ve also designed socks using this fun and simple stitch. You can find them here.

Materials:
Emma’s Yarn Practically Perfect Sock, 80% Super Wash Merino, 10% Nylon, 100 grams/ 400 yards or 230-400 yards of fingering weight yarn.

US Size 6 (4mm), 24 inch circular needle, or size required for gauge. Stitch Marker, Darning Needle

Shown in:
mc: Me-Time (a custom color from the Me Time box from Four Purls Yarn Shop)

Gauge:
6.5 sts per inch

Finished Measurements:
22 x 11 inches.

Notes:
You can use a “small” or mini skein. or scrap yarn to add a pop of color. Use the pop to cast on, work the first and last few rib rows, and bind off. I made my cowl short, more of a spring cowl but there is plenty of yarn in a full skien to make the cowl longer. I’ve added a second measurement in ( ) if you’d like to modify.
