In remembrance of my sister Melly on her birthday, November 29th, I have designed a hat and cowl that I would love to knit and be able to give to her. I fondly remember watching Rent, the movie based on the musical, with my sister and singing ‘Seasons of Love’ together.  Instead of focusing on the far too few years I had with my sister, I try to “remember the love” and “measure in love”.

Donate to the National Women’s Health Network via FirstGiving and I will send you a coupon code for 1 free download of any of the hats I designed in honor of my sister Melly: For Good, Measure In Love, and Joyful Joyful. When donating any amount, to receive your coupon code, please provide your Ravelry ID as your name or forward your donation confirmation email to megan AT stockinettezombies DOT com.

Please knit the hat/cowl and give it to a loved one, to
share love, give love, spread love” and
measure your life in love
as the song encourages us to do.

This textured and squishy hat/cowl features a simple, yet interesting lace panel surrounded by garter panels.
