Meg’s Memory is a lightweight throw designed for warmer or mid-season use. It is a basic mitre square with bands of open work v-stitch. It would also work well in a heavier weight for cooler climates.

I have provided separate patterns for UK and US terminology. Both versions feature picture guides as well as a stitch count chart.

I have used a four strand Ice Yarns Cotton Party cotton/acrylic blend for the featured rainbow version but it would work just as well in any long-change gradient, single colour or blocked colour.

2400m and a size 3.5mm hook will make a throw approx 130cm x 130cm (51” x 51”) and a further 300-400m will make a decent border, with a final measurement of approx 135cm x 135cm (53” x 53”). Of course you can use more yarn and create an even larger throw if you prefer.

An infant sized blanket can be made with 1200m and 300g. The pastel blanket/throw pictured (with the teddy bear) measures 90cm x 90cm (36” x 36”)

A border is optional. Instructions for one border style are included in the pattern.
