This is a super fast project and perfect if you’re looking to knit something in a hurry or need a boost of confidence in your knitting skills! Also makes a great gift!

The Melissa Cowl is different from the Jennifer in that you knit in the round and thus not stitching an invisible seam at the end. The two scarves do lay a bit differently from each other because of the cast on, but they’re both beautiful scarves - it’s all preference on whether you want a seam or not. You also MUST use circular needles for this project.

I like to join in the round by adding an additional stitch than what a pattern calls for. This video is a great tutorial showing how it’s done:

This is a flexible pattern as you knit the desired width, and the stitch is easy, using the double seed stitch. This project will use just under two skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick yarn.

Using the amount of yarn I used for the photos above, the scarf can be wrapped twice for a long infinity “indoor” scarf or wrapped three times (or even more!) for a cowl to keep you warm for those cold Northeast winters!

Enjoy!
