Melodia
With simplicity and understated beauty, Melodia is a one-skein shawl you’ll want to knit again and again. The familiar combination of garter stitch and eyelets meets a balanced, minimal look.
You work this crescent-shaped shawl from the top down. Horizontal garter stitch sections separate the decorative eyelet sequences for visual breathing room.
This is a relaxing knit, perfect for knit nights, traveling, or a knitflix binge. All you need is one skein of fingering weight yarn.
YARN
One skein of Atelier Zitron Seidenstrasse (65% merino, 35% silk; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g). (Red sample)
Or approximately 400 m / 437 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
(Blue sample shown in Malabrigo Yarn Sock in color Persia.)
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge
Although you work this shawl flat, I recommend 80–100 cm / 32–40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
FINISHED SIZE After blocking
170 x 45 cm / 67 x 18 inches
STITCHES USED
k: knit
kfb: knit into the front and back of the same stitch
