The pink version was made to raise breast cancer awareness and is knitted in Kokon Bleue Pink Ribbon yarn.

A spontaneous design full of beautiful stitches: japanese lace, icelandic fair isle, nupps and bobbles, I was just going with the flow and let this beautiful yarn from kokonbleu leading me along the way…

Melting Glacier Sweater is one of my so called “moody knits” - knits that appear similarly out of nowhere, I just cast on and knit according to my mood. Melting Glacier shows off my love for japanese stitches and combining different techiques in a single garment. This is what, in my opinion, handknitting is all about: creative abundance arising out of possibility to control every single stitch. I also believe that knitwear is about the drape - I learned this from the super talented Jolilocat, my “queen of drape”. This is why I introduce some biased construction in the body to make the body “swirl” . The right body seam is naturally pushed up and allows you to do that famous french tuck, but this construction is optional, depending on your mood :). Enjoy!

If you tend to knit tight in colorwork, please change to one size bigger needles for colorwork charts!
