Merlí is a cropped, boxy pullover. Thought to be a versatile garment, it can be worn with high-wasted jeans, over a dress, skirts or even with shorts during colder summer nights. The positive ease gives it a modern fit while the front cable adds a delicate touch and keeps the knitting entertaining.

Sizes: XS (S, M, L) to fit a 28/30 (32/34, 36/38, 40/42) inches or 71/76 (81/86, 91/96, 101/106) cm bust. Shown in size XS on a 75cm/33’’ bust. The sweater is intended to be worn with 4 inches (10 cm) of positive ease built in each size.
Finished measurements:
Bust circumference: 34 (38, 43, 46) inches or 88, (95, 109, 116) cm
Upper arm circumference: 11.5 (11.5, 13.3, 14) inches or 27, (28, 34, 35.5) cm
Gauge: 19 stitches x 27 rows = 10 cm/ 4 inches after blocking
Yardage: 750 (770, 1050, 1200) yards or 685 (700, 960, 1100) meters of worsted weight or heavy DK yarn.
Suggested needles: 4.5 mm (US7) circular needles - 80 cm or longer, 4mm (US 6) circular needles for cuffs and ribbing - DPNs if you don’t magic loop – or size to obtain gauge.
