This is a simple mesh stitch scarf that can be made with one ball of silk-mohair yarn. The stitch pattern is intuitive and reversible. The pattern has both written instructions and a chart. Suggested needle sizes and number of stitches to cast on are included.

The scarf may be embellished with beads, as desired. Bead placement is suggested in the pattern.

You can also make a stole sized accessory by casting on more stitches, but this will need more yarn.

Even though mohair yarn has been suggested, this stitch pattern will look beautiful with smooth yarns, especially those containing linen for a bit of crispness in the finished product.

E.g. Dye Diana Dye’s FlaxenSilk{l} or Handmaiden Lino.

A heavier weight yarn (fingering weight or sport weight) may also be used.

Suggested yarn amount and needle size is a guideline only, for the scarf size.

The smaller needle size is suggested for the finer yarn e.g. Silk Mist, Silk Cloud, and FlaxenSilk lace.

The larger needles are recommended for Kid-Silk which is a bit fluffier and heavier than the Silk Mist.

If your desired yarn is not in the list, consider using needles that are one or two sizes larger than recommended in the ball band. It all depends on how open you want the mesh to be!

Blocking the FO is highly recommended in order to open up the lacy mesh.
