I have spent a lot of my life enamored with the look of chainmail garments. Having been around Renaissance faires for more years than I can count has given me plenty of time to see the different styles that exist and ultimately lead me to designing this piece.
Whether using it to keep warm in cold months, or as a lighter weight alternative to actual chainmail when at an event, it’s a fun thing to have in your stash of knits!

It is best to choose a yarn with minimal drape, so the coif retains its shape when worn.
