These fingerless mitts feature hares leaping over the moon with a starry sky background. The palms have a simple salt and papper stitch and the pattern is finished with chevrons across the top and bottom.

This pattern is recommended for knitters who have experience with stranded colourwork, knitting in the round, and reading from charts. The pattern uses real Shetland woollen yarn from Jamiesons https://www.jamiesonsofshetland.co.uk/ in their undyed natural colours.

Materials

  • 25g Jamiesons of Shetland Spindrift - 101 Shetland Black (for background)

  • 25g Jamiesons of Shetland Spindrift – 105 Eesit (for pattern)

  • 25g Jamiesons of Shetland Spindrift – 108 Moorit (for cuffs)

  • Set of 5 double pointed needles 2.25mm or circular needle for magic loop method

  • Set of 5 double pointed needles 2.5mm or circular needle for magic loop method (OR size required to get gauge)

  • Darning needle and waste yarn

Womens Size Medium, with plenty of stretch and flexibility will fit most womens hands.
