MIDNIGHT MIRAGE TOP is a feminine sweater with a
characteristic, almost embroidered-looking pattern across the
yoke.
The sweater is cast on using the Italian cast-on technique, and
the neck edge is worked in twisted rib, which creates an elegant, well-defined rib edge. After this, the slipped-stitch pattern is worked down across the yoke, where the pattern’s graphic lines clearly stand out.
To ensure a beautiful fit across the shoulders and back of the
neck, the yoke is shaped using short rows. Before the work is
divided into sleeves and body, increases are worked along the
armholes to create good freedom of movement.
The body and sleeves are worked in the round in stockinette
stitch, finished with twisted rib edges and bound off using the
Italian bind-off technique for a refined and crisp finish.
Using this slipped-stitch technique is a simple way to create the look of stranded knitting without knitting with multiple colors at once. The pattern is knitted with one color at a time, which makes the technique both simple and comfortable to work with.

The listed measurements are for the finished top.

It varies from person to person how much positive ease you like in your clothes. Try measuring one or more of your favorite sweaters and compare the measurements to those listed above – this can help you choose the size that will fit you best.

I have 9 cm of positive ease in my Midnight Mirage.
I recommend 5-15 cm of positive ease, depending on the look and fit you want.
