The Midsummer Lace Dress is knitted using Lana Gatto Silky yarn. This flattering lace dress is knitted top down starting with a pretty eyelet neckline, which is embellished with velvet ribbon. The shaping is worked within each pattern repeat to create an easy to wear, softly flowing, drapey knit. Whether you are in the city or at the countryside, having dinner or arranging a picnic – this dress is perfect to wear when celebrating the lightest time of the year! The big advantage of working top down is that you can adjust the length of the dress to suit your needs.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.

ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS AFTER WASHING
Dress length (from top of the shoulders) - 106, (106, 108) cm/ 41 3⁄4, (41 3⁄4, 42 1⁄2) ins.
Dress flat width (just below armhole) - 56, (60, 64) cm/ 22, (23 1⁄2, 25 1⁄4) ins.
GAUGE (Tension): 34 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm (4 ins), measured over Stockinette st, (garment being blocked), using 3.00 mm (US 2 1⁄2) needle.
NB Needle size is only a guide- if you get too many stitches for 10 cm, take a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches for 10 cm, take a smaller needle size. It’s very important to check your gauge (tension) before starting, as working to the wrong tension will mean your garment won’t be size shown.
