Mighty Oak Socks
A cherished treasure from the woods, acorns have always had my heart.
The sweet and simple shape, and how lovely they are to hold, to pocket, and to play with.
These socks were inspired by the dear little seeds of the mighty Oak tree.
They are worked top-down in the round. They feature contrasting cuffs, heels, and toes. The heel is a standard flap and gusset style.
Circling the ankle is a row of tiny acorns worked in a combination of Roositud and wrapping techniques.
They are knit up in fingering weight yarn on size US 2/2.25 mm needles.
