One of my fondest memories, when my twin boys were little, was the long walks we would take. It was a highlight of my day, and getting us all out of the house and in the fresh air and sunshine was a cure-all for most things … especially newborn fussiness and mama restlessness. I discovered a little pond within easy walking distance of our home, and it was the perfect oasis. The 15-acres of Mill Pond Park features a gazebo overlooking the lake, a waterfall, and a hiking trail surrounding it. The pond is home to countless species of birds and fish, much to the delight of my curious little boys. Benches line the lake, perfect for taking a break to enjoy the serene views.

The Mill Pond Cowl is effortless to wear, so it’s exactly what I would have grabbed on my way out of the house to keep me cozy on those walks during the transitions between seasons when you need just a bit of warmth.

The cowl is crocheted using joined rounds and simple stitches that make it a relaxing project. The size is easy to customize by simply adding or reducing the number of increase rounds since the border can be worked with any stitch count.
