When Marie from Aiguilles du Hérisson asked me if I wanted to imagine a design using her beautiful naturally dyed cottons, I did not resist long. I
immediately thought of a nice top for summer ( declinable for babies, kids but also mums )
This design is the result of an enjoyable collaboration with Marie. A teeshirt with a wide and comfortable look, a simple textured stitch to add a little originality and pretty finishes. Knit from top down, beginning with half front, we then pick up stitches along de shoulder line to build the back. We join front and back in the round to work the body. Finally, we pick up the armhole stitches up to make a beautiful girly bow or o ruffle ✨ .

Les Aiguilles Du Hérisson Talus - Fingering weight yarn (150 g / 155 m; 1.75 oz / 170 yards ; 100 % Coton Bio, Fair Trade) 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins

Or approx. 260 (310, 350, 395, 455, 536, 595) m 284 (340, 383, 432, 498, 586, 650) yds of sport or light DK weight yarn.

Please note that yardage is estimated and can vary between knitters and also depend of the yarn used.

Suggested needles

3.75 mm / 80 cm US size 5 / 32” circular needle or 40’’ / 100 cm or preferred for small circumference knitting (magic loop or double pointed needles)

Make sure that your gauge is accurate and adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Quand Marie des Aiguilles du Hérisson m’a demandé si je voulais imaginer un design avec ses fils de coton teints naturellement, je n’ai pas
résisté longtemps. J’ai tout de suite pensé à un top moelleux pour l’été.
Ce design est donc le fruit d’une jolie collaboration avec Marie. Un teeshirt au look ample et confortable, un point texturé simple pour donner un peu d’originalité et de jolies finitions. Il se tricote de haut en bas en commençant par les demi-devants. On relève ensuite les mailles sur les épaules pour construire les dos pour ensuite joindre en rond et tricoter le corps. Enfin, on relève les mailles sur les emmanchures en choisissant une finition simple ou un joli noeud :)
