This beginner-friendly pattern creates an adorable mini Sophie Hood that can fit a toy, doll, teddy, small baby, or even a labubu or lafufu.

I used the scrap yarn from my Medi Scarf Waffle-Knit: worsted weight wool/alpaca/silk blend yarn and size 8 (5.0 mm) needles. A larger or smaller weight/gauge could absolutely be used and would yield a larger/smaller mini accessory respectively.

This pattern uses a chart with color coding and a key with abbreviated instructions (’k’ for knit, ‘kfb’ for knit front back, etc.), and ‘RS’ and ‘WS’ at the beginning of each row.

Materials: 50ish yds of scrap worsted weight yarn, set of size 8 (5.0 mm) needles, stitch markers to keep track of increases/decreases, a cable needle (or you can sub with another stitch marker if you don’t have one).
