Instructions are written to make the hat flat and seamed, or in the round.

You will need a cable needle. If making the hat in the round, add a stitch marker.

If making the hat in the round, you will need circular needles in sizes US 3 (3.25 mm) and US 5 (3.75 mm) no longer than 16” (40 cm). You will also need a set of double pointed needles in US 5 (3.75 mm).

If working the hat flat, you will need straight needles in both sizes.
